Bouts, Dirck
( 1415, Haarlem, Holanda–6 may. 1475, Lovania, Brabante).

Pintor neerlandés. Vigente en Lovaina, donde recibió influencias de Rogier van der Weyden. Sus obras más conocidas son un tríptico (1464) para la iglesia de San Pedro en Lovaina, cuyos paneles representan La Última Cena, y cuatro escenas del Antiguo Testamento, y dos grandes retablos que representan una escena de justicia secular (1470–75) para el ayuntamiento, como ejemplos de justicia para el concejo municipal de Lovaina. Su tratamiento de la figura humana varía desde la emoción fuerte, expresada por medio de gestos simbólicos, hasta la severidad y el recogimiento.
